Dreaming of a PINK Christmas

My love for the color pink is unending. It's been my favorite color always, so it's actually kinda surprising I've yet to do any pink color themed posts thus far. I guess I get caught up in whats trending at the moment. It's a disorder caused by working retail I think.

Anyway! Every year I tend to lean more towards a pink and green combo when it comes to my Christmas outfits and it just so happens I've been finding a lot of wonderful pink Christmas lovelies while browsing the web. So here's my second Christmas post...and probably my last until next year. I still have lots of wrapping to do and I have a feeling my gifts will most likely be covered in pink.

And of course, stick around til the end to see a wonderful Etsy Treasury I've curated just for you! :)

Pink Christmas FLASHBACK!! My pink Christmas outfit from last year. Made that necklace using an ornament of course and check out that curly cue ribbon adorning my purple hair!
(Already have a pink outfit picked out for this year)

Illustrator: Minna Katriina aka Nokkasili

I don't remember where I discovered this artist& the only information I could find on her is she is from Finland and sells her prints here: http://society6.com/nokkasili.

Her  work is really beautiful and I had to share! You can see her paintings and drawings on her tumblr: http://nokkasili.tumblr.com/

Danielle Christine Jewelry Update

Been keeping super busy with my jewelry line, so that calls for my monthly update and shameless self promo!

I recently had two of my favorite fashion bloggers wear some of my pieces which I'm always excited about and also been making lots of new things which I gotta show off!

The gorgeous Bebe of Fated to Be Hated rocked another piece...my Skull Peter Pan Collar Necklace.

She made it look great of course. I'm still selling the skull collar necklaces in my shop, except they're in pink and green. I may make a few more black and white ones. We'll see...I have a lot of things on my jewelry making itinerary.

And then had the lovely Lua of Le Happy  wear a Gray Fringe and Crystal Point Necklace I made and she looking amazing as well! I'm thinking about making a few of these, maybe in other colors as well..again we'll see where my creativity takes me. It has a mind of its own.

And then here's some of my latest creations.

Those 2 handpainted ones were super fun to make! Took a lot of time, but it was worth it for the turn out!

And something a bit more simple...I had to buy these rainbow titanium coated pyrite stone beads, because I just love how they reflect so many colors. The are really much prettier in person, but I try to photograph my jewelry as best as I can.

I've been experimenting with "props" and different lighting techniques, but I really want to keep the focus on the jewelry without distracting, hopefully enhancing. I'll continue experimenting with different techniques and set ups probably forever, but I think these represent my style at the moment.

Dress it down: Sequins and a Sweater

All things that sparkle and shine is what's been catching everyone's eye lately...and because the holidays are creeping up on us sequins are abundant!

So just when you thought sequins were just for New Year's, Christmas, and the club, the fashion forward are breaking the rules again.

Question: How do you wear that sequin skirt after the party is over?

Answer: Dress it down with a sweater...make it cute and comfy! Never thought you'd hear the term casual sequins until now. Be a fashionably rebellious with this trend..and let me know what you think in the comments below!
