Inspiration to Design: "Pom Collection"

A lot of people ask me where I get my inspiration from when creating my jewelry designs and my usual response is everywhere. And I'm not kidding! I wanted to do a post to help show this process of inspiration to design. My latest collection is one full of neon brights, pom poms, and thread wrapped branches and the ideas continue to flow. I'm still in the process of making more items inspired by these summer colors, shapes, and patterns.

Handmade Etsy Finds: Summer Camp

This post is dedicated to my summer camp memories. While coming across two new trends, adult friendship bracelets and tie dye..and I mean tie dye EVERYTHING, I started thinking about all the fun things we would make during arts and crafts at camp. And then it just got me going and I made an etsy treasury with all things summer camp! Here's my finds of the day:

Adult Friendship Bracelets. They're basically you're average friendship bracelet, but blinged out to the max.

Tie Dye. Now that summer is just around the corner...although it doesn't feel like it in Chicago right now 

*sadface* I'm starting to see a lot of tie dye even in stores around here. And summer camp was the perfect place to learn!

I may have to purchase this. Least favorite part about camp? The bugs. YUCK and I always hate the smell of bug spray so I never wanna use it. Maybe something natural might be a better option!

Omg this thing was just so cute...I want it. It's a handmade felted chipmunk. Looks just like the real thing and I thought it was the perfect addition to my treasury!

Cut it Out!

Cut outs are a major trend right now. Taking a classic piece of clothing and giving it a bit of a sexy

 edge is always fun. So for those of you willing to show a bit of extra skin, here are some of my favorite

 cut out finds...makes me wish it was summer already!!

I love the top. Its just cut out in the perfect places and I cant get enough of the high low hem right now, another trend I have a bit of an obsession with at the moment. I like to call it "the mullet" hem...ha.

Thats not something you see everyday! Really diggin' the styling on this one. High waist with a bandeau and blazer. Not quite so sure about the placement of the stars though...that top one could get a bit scary if you know what I mean...
