Etsy Spotlight Boo&Boo Factory

Being a jewelry designer it's really awesome when you find jewelry that really excites. These leather designs do just that. I've been admiring the work Christina Anton of Boo and Boo Factory for quite some time and she keeps making things that I just can't get enough of. I thought I'd finally share some of my favorites! Gotta support handmade!

Which is super easy, because theres so much great stuff on there!! Feelin a bit tropical today with pops of pink and orange.

Kingdom Plantae

Been having a bit of an obsession with air plant art and DIYs. Especially when they are placed on unexpected objects. From what I've heard air plants or Tillandsias are plants that don't require soil and only need watering about once a week. Easy enough. But what makes them even cooler is because they don't need dirt, you can put them pretty much anywhere. Even in jewelry! Whoa!

Happy 2013! &Winter Whites

Happy 2013 Everyone...been away for a while...lots of craziness going on with the holidays. Lots of work and play, which leaves no time for finding finds!! :)

I'm excited for this year. My resolutions are usually the same. Be healthier, happier, and more creative. I  tend to put my artistic outlets to the side when I get really stressed out, but those are really the things that help the most! So I need to stop that! So more jewelry making, more blogging, and of course more drawing!! Need to do all those.

So in honor of fresh clean and new, I thought I'd start out with a winter white color blog. When I think of white, I think of a blank page. I've noticed white more and more in the winter, which was always thought to be a no-no in the fashion world, but no longer! Enjoy!

I was not able to find the original sources to some of these photos...they are not mine.
If you know who to credit feel free to let me know!

Holographic.

Looks like the 90s really are coming back in full force...and of course, when things are this shiny..I get very excited.

I know the holographic trend can be very very scary and it is very hard to pull off unless in small doses.  I will say that the following images, although not all be completely wearable in real life, are pretty great in my eyes.

Who knows, it is 2012, and this material is always thought to be quite "space age-y" things could get crazy and people may just start wearing all these things on a regular basis. Like Zenon Girl of the 21st Century....

Yeah I went there. Anyone who grew up in the 90s wanted to dress like her...don't lie.

Oh...AND because I love doing this, I made a lovely etsy treasury for all your sparkly needs which will be found below per usual.

Blumarine Fall/Winter 2012
Lots of holographic and metallic fabrics on this runway show...definitely a must see.

Personally I would wear all of these things...except the pants. I don't really do pants.
