Kingdom Plantae
Been having a bit of an obsession with air plant art and DIYs. Especially when they are placed on unexpected objects. From what I've heard air plants or Tillandsias are plants that don't require soil and only need watering about once a week. Easy enough. But what makes them even cooler is because they don't need dirt, you can put them pretty much anywhere. Even in jewelry! Whoa!

Dreaming of a PINK Christmas
My love for the color pink is unending. It's been my favorite color always, so it's actually kinda surprising I've yet to do any pink color themed posts thus far. I guess I get caught up in whats trending at the moment. It's a disorder caused by working retail I think.
Anyway! Every year I tend to lean more towards a pink and green combo when it comes to my Christmas outfits and it just so happens I've been finding a lot of wonderful pink Christmas lovelies while browsing the web. So here's my second Christmas post...and probably my last until next year. I still have lots of wrapping to do and I have a feeling my gifts will most likely be covered in pink.
And of course, stick around til the end to see a wonderful Etsy Treasury I've curated just for you! :)

Happy 2012 Everyone! New Year means lots of new things!
Wanted to give a quick jewelry update. I just posted a few necklaces on my etsy site.
Wanted to give a quick jewelry update. I just posted a few necklaces on my etsy site.
What I really wanted to share was my "inspiration board" that I made. I wanted to show a small glimpse of the chaos that is my mind and what goes through my head when I make something. Just for fun :) And then the finished products. Hope you like!
And heres just a couple more photos that I couldn't fit in there, but are also pretty cool. I'm not quite sure of all the sources, because most of these I found just browsing diferent sites and also on tumblr.
And heres what I made:
And thats all I have for today! Til next time! Hope you're inspired!

Different: Pantone Mugs
Oh Pantone...how you color my world...literally. I've done a lot of research on color and it's effect on people as well as color forecasting, because being a marketing and merchandising major...color has a lot to do with people's spending habits and can really change a person's emotions. It's a bit crazy when you go far into it. Anyway, Pantone is one of the most important authorities of color when it comes to predicting the market and trends of what is to come as far as fashion, home decorating, and many other consumer products.
Did you know that 2011 has its own color? Guess what it is?
Honeysuckle!
Colors of the year are based on society as a whole and the current events that are going on in the world. I guess I can throw that crazy German word everyone always wants to say on occasion to make them sound super sophisticated: zeitgeist. ( you know the really crappy smashing pumpkins album...sorry guys i <3 u but not my fave)
They chose Honeysuckle as 2011's color of the year with this reasoning: ""In times of stress, we need something to lift our spirits. Honeysuckle is a captivating, stimulating color that gets the adrenaline going – perfect to ward off the blues." (Pantone Press Release)
So if you want to lift your spirits, get some honeysuckle colored anything in your life.

Anyway, to my awesome find of the day! While being distracted from schoolwork, I came across these lovelies:
I'm sure that you can find these a lot of places, but this is where I stumbled to find them:

Well school time for me...I'll be back later with that Black Friday/ Cyber Monday list ! If not tonight then tomorrow!
